Espresso Cup and Saucer “Galletto Verde”
The Galletto, the little rooster, is among the best-loved patterns of Deruta rooster pottery and a traditional symbol of good luck in the Italian home. Here it is painted in turquoise green with a red comb, surrounded by leaf-shaped strokes and tiny cherries on a white ground, with a dashed green rim. The green and yellow palette brings a fresh, country note to a rustic or farmhouse kitchen.
Our espresso cup and saucer is shaped and painted by hand in Italian majolica. The cup holds 1.5 oz (45 ml), the classic Italian espresso measure; the saucer is 4.3 in (11 cm) wide and the set stands 3 in (7.6 cm) tall. Made in Italy, food safe, lead free and dishwasher safe.
Handmade by MOD Ceramics in Deruta, Italy, and shipped fully insured. We can also reproduce this piece in a different shape or decoration – just get in touch.
