Description
Traditional Mug “Penny”
Small hand-painted medallions in cobalt blue and warm ochre circle this Italian coffee mug like a string of antique coins, the rhythm that gives the Penny decoration its name. Shaped and painted by hand in our Deruta workshop, every mug is slightly different.
Our Traditional mug is the classic straight-sided Deruta mug, shaped and painted by hand in Italian majolica, with a comfortable handle and a generous rim. Choose the 8.5 oz size (250 ml, 3.7 in / 9.5 cm tall) for coffee and cappuccino or the 12 oz size (350 ml, 4.3 in / 11 cm tall) for tea and long coffee. Food safe, lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe: a piece of Italian pottery made to be used every day.
Handmade by MOD Ceramics in Deruta, Italy, and shipped fully insured. We can also reproduce this piece in a different shape or decoration – just get in touch.
