Description
Traditional Mug “Galletto Verde”
A cheerful green rooster struts across this Italian coffee mug, part of the Galletto family of Deruta rooster pottery that has brightened Italian farmhouse kitchens for generations and is said to bring luck to the home. Each bird is sketched freehand, so no two are alike.
Our Traditional mug is the classic straight-sided Deruta mug, shaped and painted by hand in Italian majolica, with a comfortable handle and a generous rim. Choose the 8.5 oz size (250 ml, 3.7 in / 9.5 cm tall) for coffee and cappuccino or the 12 oz size (350 ml, 4.3 in / 11 cm tall) for tea and long coffee. Food safe, lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe: a piece of Italian pottery made to be used every day.
Handmade by MOD Ceramics in Deruta, Italy, and shipped fully insured. We can also reproduce this piece in a different shape or decoration – just get in touch.
