Italian Salad Plates, Hand Painted in Deruta

Our salad plates are 8.7 in (22 cm) across, the middle plate of an Italian place setting. They are the right size for salads, starters, desserts and cheese, and for a lighter lunch.

Every plate is shaped and painted by hand in Italian majolica in our workshop in Deruta, Umbria, where MOD Ceramics has been making pottery since 1965. Choose among more than forty patterns, from Renaissance classics such as Raffaellesco and Ricco Deruta to the Galletto rooster, the blue and white Arabesco and our peacock plates.

Each salad plate comes with a scalloped edge or a smooth edge at the same price. All are made in Italy, food safe and lead free, and go in the dishwasher and the microwave. Pair them with the matching Italian dinner plates and pasta bowls in the same pattern to build your own Deruta dinnerware set.
