About the Design
The Umbria pattern is a celebration of the region where Deruta sits — a town that has been producing majolica since the Middle Ages, surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Italy. This cup carries that sense of place with it, wherever it travels.
Artisan Craftsmanship
Each cup is individually shaped, coated with a lead-free enamel glaze, and hand-painted by skilled artisans before a second kiln firing. MOD Deruta Heritage has been producing majolica in Deruta since 1965 — three generations of the same family.
