Description
Pasta Bowl “'600 Red Background”
The '600 Red Background pattern comes from 17th century Italian majolica: white acanthus scrolls are painted on a deep red rim, broken by white panels. It is an elegant, formal bowl with a strong red that stands out on a white tablecloth.
This is a wide, shallow rimmed bowl, the classic Italian piatto fondo, 9.8 in (25 cm) across and 1.6 in (4 cm) deep: the shape Italians use for pasta, risotto and soup. It is hand painted in Italian majolica. Choose the scalloped edge for a classic Deruta look or the smooth edge for a cleaner line. Made in Italy, food safe and lead free, and safe for the dishwasher and microwave.
Handmade by MOD Ceramics in Deruta, Italy, and shipped fully insured. We can also reproduce this piece in a different shape or decoration – just get in touch.
