Espresso Cup and Saucer “Bird of Paradise”
Bird of Paradise is one of MOD’s own designs: a golden bird with a flame-colored crest perched among sweeping cobalt scrolls, olive leaves and a single yellow pansy. The warm yellow rim frames the white ground and makes the colors glow. It is a cheerful cup for a bright kitchen, and it sits well next to blue and white or sunny yellow tableware.
Our espresso cup and saucer is shaped and painted by hand in Italian majolica. The cup holds 1.5 oz (45 ml), the classic Italian espresso measure; the saucer is 4.3 in (11 cm) wide and the set stands 3 in (7.6 cm) tall. Made in Italy, food safe, lead free and dishwasher safe.
Handmade by MOD Ceramics in Deruta, Italy, and shipped fully insured. We can also reproduce this piece in a different shape or decoration – just get in touch.
