Description
Italian Ceramic Espresso Cup — Ricco Deruta
The Ricco Deruta pattern is among the most prestigious decorations in the Deruta tradition — rich, complex, and unmistakably Italian. Cobalt blue and orange motifs fill every surface with symmetrical floral and geometric elements, painted entirely by hand in the workshop that has carried this style for over fifty years.
About the Ricco Deruta Pattern
'Ricco' means rich — and the name is well earned. This decoration draws from the most opulent period of Deruta ceramics, when the town's workshops produced pieces for churches, noble families, and Renaissance courts across Italy. Every element is deliberately dense and layered, a testament to the artisan's skill.
Artisan Craftsmanship
Each cup is individually shaped, coated with a lead-free enamel glaze, and hand-painted before a second kiln firing. MOD Deruta Heritage has been producing majolica in Deruta since 1965 — three generations of the same family.
Care & Use
Lead-free glaze, food safe, and dishwasher safe. Hand washing is recommended to avoid chipping from impacts inside the dishwasher. Microwave safe — avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat. Capacity: 1.5 oz | 45 ml.
Hand painted in Deruta, Italy by MOD Deruta Heritage — a family-run majolica studio founded in 1965.
